Engine: 110cc, 4-stroke (no need to mix the oil with gasoline as with cheaper atvs) , Air Cooled, Gas Engine. Very quiet=neighborhood friendly.
Transmission: Fully Automatic (no hand clutch) with a centrifugal clutch. No learning curve, just get on, push the throttle with your thumb and go. With the automatic transmission, it is easy to share with friends.
Note: The model 403=303=405 mini atv is ACTUALLY a 110cc engine. If you look at the detailed pictures above you will find that the engine block has "107 cm3" imprinted on the right side of the engine block. This measurement describes the size of the engine confirming that it is a 110cc engine. There is a metal plate on the opposite side of the engine which has "FA-C70" printed on the plate. This 5 digit code on the plate is used ONLY by the factory to seperate which model gets loaded on each container. This code does NOT indicate the size or "cc" of the engine.
Safety:
Safety Tether: Shuts off engine if rider falls off.
Brush Guard: Front bumper helps to keep small scrubs and brush away.
Foot Guard: Protects rider from getting legs near the tires.
Remote engine start & kill: Parent can turn off engine from up to 30 yards away with the push of a button on a remote. The unit then rolls to a stop. This is helpful when the child is first learning to ride. Name brand units do not have this.
Chain Guard: Metal covering over the top of the chain.
Kill switch: Mounted on handle bar. Also turns off the engine and the unit rolls to a stop.
Extra Large Disc Brake: For faster stopping
Maximum Speed: Governor controlled maximum speed of 3-32 Mph . The Governor "Style" System allows one to adjust the maximum speed by adjusting a small screw in or out, located on the right side of the handle bar. This screw limits how far the child can push in the thumb throttle, which limits the maximum speed while your child is learning to ride the ATV. The electric Power Wheels that your child may already have go 4 mph, so on this atv, you can actually start your child off at the same speed that he was at on his electric power wheels.
Drive train: 2-wheel, chain drive. Chain drive is more dependable, easier and cheaper to replace than a shaft drive. We do not have any problems with chain drives.
Horse Power: 5.5 Hp (approximate). Beware of other sellers inflating this number. All similar sized engines have the same horsepower. Other sellers inflate this number so they an justify much higher prices.
Lubrication: The unit comes already filled with engine oil that flows throughout the integrated engine and transmission. For engine oil changes, use 15W40 engine oil available at your local auto parts store.
Spark Plug: use replacement of NGK 4629 with a gap of 32 to 35 mils.
Max. Power: 3.6 kw/8500rpm. Similar sized engines are the same. Beware of the competition inflating these numbers.
Max. Torque: 4.4 N/M/5000 Rpm. Similar sized engines are the same. Beware of the competition inflating these numbers.
Starter: Keyed Electric start or the hand held remote start/stop. Capacitor discharge ignition (CDI).
Front Suspension: Dual Coil Spring Shocks. Double A-Arm.
Rear Suspension: Rear mono shock for smooth riding.
Brakes: Hydraulic rear disc brake controlled from left handle grip.
Tires:
Front: 16" x 8" x 7" (outer diameter x width x inside diameter). Full 2.5 inches bigger around, 1 inch wider and 1 inch bigger inside diameter than other atvs) All terrain and long lasting.
Rear: 16" x 8" x 7" (outer diameter x width x inside diameter). Full 2.5 inches bigger around, 1 inch wider and 1 inch bigger inside diameter than other atvs) All terrain and long lasting.
Body: UV resistant Injection Molded body and not fiberglass (fiberglass cracks). Solid colors like red, blue, black, yellow and green have the same color throughout the material which makes it more difficult to see scratches.
Colors: Of course, pictures of all available colors are not shown for each model. To see all colors available, go to the far bottom of this page and you will see "Select 1st Color Choice" and "Select 2nd Color Choice". This shows you what colors are available. If you want only one color choice, then choose the same color for both your first and second color choices.
12 Gauge Steel Frame: All BestPriceATV quads use tubular frames with a powercoated finish. Don't be fooled by cheap imititations, all of ours use 12 gauge steel frames while others use 14, 16 or even 18 gauge steel frames (smaller number is thicker).
Fuel: Regular unleaded gasoline - no need to mix oil with gas. The cheaper 2-stroke atvs are constant problems because of too much or not enough oil added to the gasoline. Ours are 4-stroke = do not add oil to the gasoline.

Ground Clearance: Front A-Arm to ground is 6.5" and Rear axle to ground is 7.7". Unlike cheaper ATV's, this unit has a protective metal skid plate under the rear disk brake and chain. Without this, any large objects passing between the wheels can easily damage the rear brakes and sprocket.
